Job Title: Inpatient Trainer

We are seeking a highly skilled Inpatient Trainer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical coding and billing, with a strong background in training and development.

Job Description:

The Inpatient Trainer will be responsible for conducting medical coding education for new and existing medical coders. This includes developing modules for medical coding and billing training, as well as maintaining knowledge of ICD 10 CM, ICD 10 PCS, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines.

  • Develop curriculum and training syllabus related to coding and billing training programs.
  • Maintain knowledge of ICD 10 CM, ICD 10 PCS, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines.
  • Update existing training modules.

The Inpatient Trainer will also be responsible for providing training and review for onboarding coders and refresher training for tenured coders. Additionally, the role will involve disseminating changes and updates in guidelines and rules, as well as collaborating with all workgroups to resolve issues that impact internal and external customers.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Graduate of any Medical or Allied Medical course or has equivalent work experience.
  • CPC certification from AAPC or CCS certification from AHIMA.
  • Proficient with Revenue Cycle Management, E/M and Procedure Coding.
