The company seeks a Senior Tax Accountant to support the business and manage various tasks.

Job Responsibilities
  • Process financial statements up to trial balance stage for lodgement with the Australian Taxation Office.
  • Prepare Business Activity Statements and Installment Activity Statements for lodgement.
  • Maintain general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing trial balances, and reconciling entries.
  • Prepare private tax returns, trust, partnership tax returns, and End of year compliance jobs.
  • Experienced with Division 7a loans.
  • Complete required tax reporting in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and update tax provision schedules.
  • Research and correct process errors causing incorrect tax filings and negotiate with tax authorities over payment issues.
  • Mentor and review work for junior accountants.
  • Lead the team as a team leader and mentor/review work for team members.
About You
  • A degree in Accounting or Accounting Technology is preferred; Advantage if CPA licensed.
  • Total of more than 4 years accounting and tax experience, with 4+ years in AU tax accounting.
  • Strong leadership capabilities and interest in leading the team.
  • Advantage if experienced in an accounting/audit firm.
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
  • Attentive to details and organized.
  • Good time management skills.
