Facility Maintenance Technician Job Description

This role involves providing technical support for the maintenance and operation of facility systems, ensuring that all tasks comply with safety and operational standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and be able to diagnose and repair equipment failures.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for monitoring system performance data, tracking and logging maintenance activities, and preparing reports for review by senior engineers. Additionally, they will assist during facility emergencies, such as equipment failures or power outages, by following established response procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for the maintenance and operation of facility systems
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and incidents in the CMMS
  • Prepare performance reports for review by senior engineers
  • Assist during facility emergencies, such as equipment failures or power outages

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, facilities management)
  • Minimum years of project or operations management experience related to engineering managed services
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Good organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt and learn in a dynamic work environment
