Carpentry Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Subic Drydock Corporation. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to carpentry, including framing, finishing, and installing drywall, cabinetry, and other woodwork.

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and written specifications to understand project requirements.
• Perform rough and finish carpentry to meet company standards of quality and according to plans and specifications.
• Layout and install stud wall framing, stairs, and other structural elements.
• Install standard wall-hung cabinetry and accessories, as well as pre-hung door units and windows.
• Install drywall and properly tape drywall sheathing.
• Perform simple repairs in painting, staining, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and flooring.
• Maintain a safe and clean jobsite.
• Use levels, squares, and layout tools necessary for all carpentry tasks.

Requirements:

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Proficiency in carpentry skills, including framing, finishing, and drywall installation.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and ability to maintain a safe jobsite.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions:

The Carpenter will work in a fast-paced construction environment, with frequent exposure to dust, noise, and physical demands. The ideal candidate will be able to work at heights, lift heavy materials, and stand for long periods.
