Key Responsibilities:

  • Own key accounting processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with GAAP and global standards.
  • Strengthen internal controls and SOX compliance to maintain financial integrity and accuracy.
  • Introduce automation, AI, and new technology to improve financial efficiency and reduce manual errors.
  • Drive process improvements to make financial operations faster, smoother, and more scalable.
  • Partner with teams across Canva to simplify financial processes, provide insights that drive better decision-making, and elevate financial understanding across the company.
  • Support audits and regulatory requirements by collaborating with external auditors and internal teams.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in regional/global financial corporate accounting, financial reporting, and operational finance—ideally in a high-growth or public company.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, SOX compliance, and internal control. CPA experience is a plus.
  • A problem-solving mindset—you thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy optimizing processes.
  • Excellent communication skills—you can simplify complex financial concepts for non-financial teams.
  • A passion for automation, technology, and improving workflows.
  • Experience working with ERP systems (bonus points for NetSuite).
  • Open to working night shifts Tuesday - Saturday 1:00AM - 10:00AM PH time to support our global operations.
