Job Overview

As an Architectural and Electrical Estimator, you will play a key role in accurately estimating costs for projects involving electrical lighting controls and reflected ceiling plans. Your strong understanding of lighting fixtures, lighting controls, and ability to translate drawings into precise estimates will be invaluable to the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform takeoffs and cost estimates using software such as Planswift or Bluebeam.
  • Review and interpret architectural and electrical drawings, including reflected ceiling plans, to identify and quantify lighting fixtures and controls.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate reports using Microsoft Excel.
  • Collaborate with the project team to verify and refine estimates.
Requirements
  • Proficiency with Planswift or Bluebeam is essential.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is necessary.
  • Background in architectural and electrical projects is required.
  • Experience in electrical lighting controls and reflected ceiling plans is desirable.
  • Knowledge of lighting fixtures and controls for takeoffs is crucial.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent spoken and written English are must-haves.
  • Prior costing/estimating experience is a plus.
