Database Development Services Specialist

As a Database Development Services Specialist, you will provide expertise in database development services to enable clients to better monitor, measure, manage and report on their programs and projects.

The incumbent communicates with stakeholders, defines business requirements, considers technology options, recommends and implements optimal database development work, performs testing, debugging and fixes, migrates data to new or improved database applications, and provides maintenance, support and training to the client.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define, design and develop systems architecture specifications and parameters for hardware and software capabilities
  • Define scope and nature of work, and gather user needs information and business requirements
  • Perform testing and find solutions to existing or potential problems (e.g. debugging)
Additional Responsibilities
  • Carry out maintenance, including migrating data to new or improved databases
  • Provide support and training to the client
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Software development, database design and computer science skills are required
  • Experience with applicable computer software and operating systems is preferred
  • Knowledge of CSS, JQuery/Javascript, VBA in MS Office Applications, MS Power Apps, SharePoint Designer and SharePoint Framework (SPFx) is an asset
