Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Video Content Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for onboarding and supporting a talented group of video creators, scriptwriters, and video editors to create high-quality, impactful videos that support our mission of making education accessible to all.

You will work closely with our team to develop video content for Study.com and marketing channels, with a strong emphasis on optimizing for YouTube engagement and discoverability. This includes experimenting with various video content formats, leveraging AI and tech tools to streamline production and improve video quality, and providing ongoing feedback, direction, and performance analysis to enhance content strategy.

In addition, you will monitor trends and platform updates to drive innovation and viewer engagement, communicate production rates, obstacles, and resource requests to your team lead proactively, and bring a strong perspective on what makes video content hook viewers.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 2–3 years of experience in video creation (preferably academic or informational) with a strong understanding of YouTube ecosystem.
  • Skilled in sourcing and guiding video content creators to produce engaging, platform-optimized content.
  • Proficient in Adobe Premiere and familiar with other editing and graphics tools.
  • Experienced in scripting, storyboarding, producing videos, and collaborating with editors.
  • Data-savvy and comfortable running content experiments to improve engagement and retention.
  • Strong creative instincts with a passion for trends, effective titling, thumbnails, and pacing.
