Job Overview

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Compliance Expert - Technology and Risk Management to join our team. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the company's compliance with laws and regulations, as well as providing expert advice on technology-related matters.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of legal issues related to bringing software products to market, including those involving machine learning and third-party data. They will be responsible for implementing global compliance programs locally, monitoring regulatory developments, and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws.

In addition to their technical expertise, the successful candidate will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling them to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Legal Leadership Advisor: Provide legal advice to local leadership on CORE matters, educate and guide them on sound corporate governance principles, and best practices in line with the company's Code of Business Ethics (COBE).
  • Business Advisor: Collaborate with the business on various matters, reviewing and/or overseeing its CORE responsibilities, and advising on strategic priorities of the Market Unit Lead and Country Managing Director.
  • Compliance: Implement global compliance programs locally, monitor regulatory developments, and ensure compliance with all applicable laws, including updates to address new and updated laws.
  • Corporate Functions Advisor: Advise and support corporate function teams on legal matters, provide local corporate and regulatory advice, and manage company secretarial matters.
Requirements

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you will need to possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • Juris Doctor degree or equivalent: A Juris Doctor degree or an equivalent degree or legal qualification is required.
  • Admitted to the bar: You must be admitted to the bar (or local equivalent) and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law.
  • 6-8 years' legal experience: A minimum of 6-8 years' relevant attorney work experience, including functional understanding of legal issues related to bringing software products to market.
  • Technology transactional experience: Experience in drafting and negotiating technology-focused client-facing and/or vendor-facing agreements, either in a law firm or in-house legal department.
  • Risk analysis and management: Working knowledge of risk analysis, appreciation, prioritization, and management.
Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, it is preferred that candidates have:

  • In-house experience: Prior experience working in-house.
  • Interest in technology: An interest in technology, particularly new technologies such as artificial intelligence.
  • Training experience: Experience training other lawyers.
  • Product liability knowledge: Knowledge of product liability.

As a Compliance Expert - Technology and Risk Management at TASQ Staffing Solutions, you can expect a competitive salary, ranging from $120,000 to $180,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
