Collabera Digital is looking for a Servant Leader to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring that our teams live agile values and principles and follow the processes and practices that we have agreed upon.

The Scrum Master is a servant-leader who does not have direct authority over any of the other team members and is not involved in high-level decision-making. Instead, this role facilitates the Scrum process and keeps the team on track.

The responsibilities of the Scrum Master include:

  • Implementing Agile Ceremonies and Principles

The Scrum Master will be responsible for supporting the squad in evaluating their Scrum maturity and preparing them for advanced stages of maturity at a speed that is workable and easy for the team. This includes leading the team on how to accomplish Agile/Scrum practices, including coaching them in their Scrum implementation.

The Scrum Master will also enable process activities of Agile development/Scrum by inspiring and supporting the team to self-align their repetitions. Additionally, they will support internal and external communication, improve transparency, and radiate information.

The Scrum Master will program and enable consistent team retrospective meetings per the Scrum framework. They will also program, design, and assist team work as per the Scrum framework, including daily stand-up meetings, consistent iteration reviews, and sprint planning meetings amongst the team, Product Owner, and stakeholders.

Furthermore, the Scrum Master will assist in sprint-planning gatherings, sprint review, and ensure that teams understand their ability (velocity) to meet sprint promises. They will also warrant that any blockers are identified and excluded, adhere to Agile process, and that an Agile has a well-run escalation process in place for changes that impact iteration.

In addition, the Scrum Master will build a trusting and safe atmosphere where problems can be raised without distress of blame or being judged. They will improve people through schooling and adopting a positive work culture.

The Scrum Master will offer all support to the squad using a servant leadership style every time possible and lead by example. They will also ensure that the team provides software within recognized quality standards by facilitating a working 'definition of done' (DoD) for Agile stories within each team.

This role will eradicate obstacles or guide the team to remove obstacles by finding the right personnel to remove the obstruction. The Scrum Master will also enable getting the task done without pressure or dictating work assignments.

They will simplify discussion, conclusion making, and conflict resolution. The Scrum Master will remove blockades to team efficiency and guard the team from external tasks, scope growth, or disturbances during the sprint so that they remain engrossed in delivering their promises.

Lastly, the Scrum Master will dare the self-organized team to apply team operational improvements, encourage, and inculcate process developments – monitor, leads, and coach. They will support team members to develop and deliver individual obligations to their squad. Assist squad members who are struggling to meet assurances through straightforward communication and feedback, providing the team with suitable support or transitioning them off the team.
