Expert Billing Operations Lead Job Summary
Job Description:- We are seeking a seasoned professional with exceptional billing knowledge and training expertise to lead live sessions, guide VAs upskilling, and ensure seamless billing operations.
The ideal candidate has passion for teaching, mastery of dental billing workflows, and commitment to clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach advanced billing concepts: insurance verification, CDT coding, claims, EOBs, and denials.
- Lead live and recorded sessions on payer logic, billing documentation, and audit-readiness.
- Facilitate interactive mock scenarios to deepen system familiarity and code accuracy.
- Conduct in-depth Skills Evaluation Interviews (SEIs) to assess system use, billing logic, and knowledge gaps.
- Monitor trainee progress through talent development tools like checklists and assessments.
- Lead recovery training for VAs returning to the system with billing gaps.
- Escalate retraining needs with constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with SME team to develop micro-modules on denials, CDT updates, and workflow corrections.
- Recommend updates to training content based on performance data and clinic needs.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of U.S.-based dental billing experience, including hands-on insurance coordination and claim workflows.
- Advanced knowledge of CDT codes, EOBs, AR follow-up, appeals, and U.S. dental software standards.
- Excellent communication and instructional skills for leading live trainings and SEIs.
- Experience onboarding or upskilling VAs, front desk, or billing teams with hands-on training.
- Familiarity with HIPAA, ledger accuracy, and audit-readiness standards.
- Working knowledge of dental PM software (Dentrix, Open Dental, Eaglesoft).
- Experience supporting both billing & clinical coordination tasks is a plus.
