About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Paralegal/Legal assistant to provide comprehensive legal support for our North American Private Markets Legal Team. The ideal candidate will possess basic knowledge of corporate and/or financial or investment law and governance based on relevant prior work experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the creation, review, and revision of documents required to facilitate various investment subsidiaries, including incorporation and organization documents, as well as other fundamental changes.

  • Compile corporate formation documents and resolutions, obtaining necessary signatures, and managing subsequent renewals and updates.

  • Assist with subsidiary governance matters, tracking filing deadlines, and maintaining internal subsidiary database records.

  • Provide research support for corporate governance and compliance matters related to the management of investment entities in the United States, Canada, and international jurisdictions.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree or completion of at least two years in the JD program.

  • Preferably one to two years of experience in a corporate law firm or legal department of a financial or investment institution.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, prioritizing multiple tasks efficiently.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite, Adobe, and redlining is essential.
