Job Overview

A peer reviewer is needed for emergency, transplant and urologic surgery manuscripts. We are looking for researchers with expertise in this field who can review journal articles.

As a peer reviewer, you will be responsible for assessing the novelty of the manuscript, evaluating the study design and methodology, checking the literature review, analyzing the results and conclusions, providing constructive feedback and recommending publication.

To be successful as a peer reviewer, you should have a doctorate degree or equivalent in the subject area, at least two publications in the last two years, thorough understanding of research methodologies and ethical principles, excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, strong written communication skills and ability to adhere to deadlines.

What You Will Do
  • Assess Novelty: Evaluate whether the manuscript is original and adds new knowledge to the field of study
  • Evaluate Study Design and Methodology: Assess whether the study design and methods are appropriate and clearly described
  • Literature Review: Check whether the manuscript thoroughly incorporates relevant research
  • Analyze Results and Conclusions: Evaluate whether the results are presented clearly and whether the conclusions are supported by the data
  • Provide Constructive Feedback: Suggest improvements or highlight flaws, omissions or ethical concerns
  • Recommend Publication: Decide whether the manuscript should be accepted, revised or rejected
