Specifications Writer


About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Specifications Writer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and updating existing specification content to ensure it accurately reflects changes in industry standards, building codes, and technologies.

You will create new specification content as needed and conduct research to stay up-to-date on technical issues and developments. Your work will involve liaising with stakeholders, including customers, manufacturers, consultants, and subscribers.

The ideal candidate will possess a degree in a construction-related discipline, such as Architecture, M&E, or Landscape. They should have at least 5 years of relevant experience in the industry and be knowledgeable about industry standards and building regulations.

This is a full-time role that requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently. The successful candidate will work in a hybrid setup and must be able to start working immediately.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and update existing specification content to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Create new specification content as needed.
  • Conduct research to stay up-to-date on technical issues and developments.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, including customers, manufacturers, consultants, and subscribers.
  • Ensure specification content aligns with industry standards and building regulations.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in a construction-related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in the industry.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards and building regulations.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
