Job Title: Data Engineer

At Manpower Core Group Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team. As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing data solutions that drive business growth and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct customer discovery meetings to determine reporting requirements and understand customer needs.
  • Work with customers to understand Power BI licensing and limitations, and develop solutions that meet their needs.
  • Create well-performing star schema data models for use with Power BI, including calculated columns and measures.
  • Develop Power BI solutions for customers, including importing data from multiple sources, building reports and dashboards, and creating data elements using DAX and source queries.
  • Guide customers on deploying Power BI solutions to the Power BI service, including gateways, direct query, data flows, and data updates.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, data science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience working with data and business intelligence solutions on the Microsoft tool stack, including SSRS, Power BI, or PowerPivot (Excel) or PerformancePoint.
  • Working knowledge of TSQL, data modeling, and reporting using Power BI or other Microsoft tools.
  • Experience creating complete Power BI report solutions based on business questions, including linked content, drilldowns, and nested parameters.
  • Dynamic measure designs using advanced DAX techniques.
  • Knowledge of data mashups and transformations using Power Query/M language.
  • Ability to report visual choices and visual interactions.
  • Design, develop, and implement user interfaces to ensure ease of use and minimal knowledge by the functional work group.
  • Ability to gather requirements and conduct focus groups to determine the processes needed to assist and grow the business.
  • Eagerness to contribute in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills for both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Passionate about learning new technologies.
  • Analytical approach to problem-solving; ability to use technology to solve business problems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
