Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join our team at MicroSourcing. This role involves working with various databases and spreadsheets, creating customer invoices for weekly and monthly variable billing, and reconciling data.

  • Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Create and distribute accurate and timely customer invoices for weekly and monthly variable billing.
  • Process client contracts and initiate billing in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Provide guidance and support to the accounting team to improve overall performance.
  • Assist in managing finance queues to ensure timely turnaround times and meet deadlines.
  • Enter data into systems for vendor charges and bills efficiently.
  • Maintain data integrity by reconciling information from various sources.
  • Ensure proper revenue recognition for recurring and one-time invoices.
  • Contribute to the preparation of balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports according to legal and company requirements.
  • Support the integration of new customers into accounting processes during acquisitions.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on key metrics.
  • Collaborate in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings.
  • Participate in accounting projects and contribute to automation and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in different areas of Accounting, preferably with background in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience communicating with US clients preferred.
  • Prior experience using QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, ConnectWise, and Bill.com is a plus.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Applications, specifically Excel.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and critical-thinking skills.
  • High level of initiative, accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, collaboration, and partnering skills.
  • Will to work on night shifts and flexible work arrangements.
