Backend Software Engineer Job Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned backend developer with strong infrastructure and DevOps expertise to join our team.

About the Role
  • Design, build, deploy, and maintain scalable software solutions using cloud-based technologies.
  • Oversight of the entire software development lifecycle, ensuring high-quality products.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams, code reviews, and technical excellence promotion.
  • Development and optimization of CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for swift deployments.
  • Exploration and integration of AI-assisted coding tools to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Infrastructure & DevOps
  • Construction and maintenance of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) solutions using CDK, Terraform, Docker, and AWS.
  • Automation solution development to streamline system configuration, deployments, and monitoring.
  • User access control, permissions, and infrastructure-level security management across environments.
  • Agentic workflow experimentation and AI-driven operations tooling exploration for enhanced scalability and efficiency.
Monitoring, Observability & Reliability
  • Implementation and maintenance of monitoring systems using AWS CloudWatch, Sentry, and Jira Service Management.
  • Service health tracking and system reliability monitoring.
  • alerts, logs, and dashboards creation to identify performance or availability issues proactively.
  • Incident response in production environments and post-incident review execution to drive improvements.
  • Disaster recovery and backup strategies design and execution for platform resilience.
Security
  • Security best practices application across code, infrastructure, and deployments.
  • Compliance and system integrity upholding through cross-functional collaboration.
  • AIR-related security considerations stay-updated and emerging tools evaluation.
  • Reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency enhancements identification opportunities.
  • New tools and technologies aligned with DevOps and product delivery practices integration evaluation.
  • Continuous learning culture contribution, experimentation, and shared ownership promotion.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on backend development.
  • Proven experience in infrastructure and DevOps, including CI/CD, automation, and monitoring.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Docker, Terraform, and GitHub Actions.
  • Configuration and maintenance of monitoring systems using CloudWatch, Sentry, and Jira Service Management experience.
  • Strong understanding of IAM permissions, application architecture, cloud infrastructure, and platform security.
  • Familiarity with agentic workflows or AI-powered productivity tools is beneficial.
