The Role

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our team in QBE GROUP SHARED SERVICES LIMITED - PHILIPPINE BRANCH. This is an exciting opportunity for a financial professional to contribute to the success of our organization by providing strategic financial leadership and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the processing, analysis, and reporting of financial transactions, including budgeting processes, financial planning, analysis, and management accounting activities.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and coordination of operational activities, ensuring accuracy and consistency of accounting and reporting activities.
  • Support compliance with IFRS standards and manage end-to-end billing and collections processes.
  • Provide technical accounting support and produce various financial reports for multiple entities.
  • Assist with QBE Australian Operations statutory accounts in accordance with Australian accounting standards.
  • Prepare quarterly tax calculations and tax package report for review by the Tax Manager.
  • Perform complex reconciliations and analytical reviews to support financial reports.
  • Investigate medium to complex accounting issues and ensure prompt resolution.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Fundamental knowledge of organizational accounting procedures and thorough understanding of best practice accounting.
  • Strong skills in spreadsheets, data analysis, and reconciliation procedures.
  • Problem-solving skills, stakeholder management, strong communication skills, analytical skills, and proficiency in MS Tools.
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Requirements:

  • At least 4 years of experience in an accounting role.
  • 2 years of audit experience, preferably in Big 4.
  • Accounting graduate with CPA certification.
