Job Description

The Assistant Retail and Training Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting the retail business, coaching field teams on executing service standards, and leading by example. This individual must have a genuine passion for luxury retail, outstanding customer service, and be true to Shiseido's DNA of Omotenashi.

This position requires an understanding of the retail business, enabling the successful hire to lead field teams across multiple sites to deliver exceptional service while driving productivity in line with the brand's strategy. The ARTM should be a coach who can adapt their style to work side-by-side with various stores, executing retail plans in alignment with the strategy given by the Retail & Training HOD, to grow the brand's portfolio and gain market share in stores.

Main Duties And Responsibilities include:

  • Being a brand ambassador and advocate of innovation at retail stores
  • Achieving targets and managing the collection of NPS data
  • Providing detailed feedback to Brand Managers on successes and challenges through regular in-store visits
  • Supporting the management of beauty consultants headcount (through manpower agencies) for the brand's stores
  • Tracking and monitoring productivity levels weekly and monthly on a store and individual level
  • Suggesting possible action plans to the Retail & Training HOD and Brand Manager to grow sales and KPIs of assigned stores
  • Identifying opportunities through analysis of the business and reacting to the market to maximize results
  • Collaborating with teams to ensure consistency, success, and achieve results together
Requirements
  • At least 5 years combined sales and training experience within the retail industry
  • Prior experience working in multinational or global brands or companies
  • A degree in marketing, education, psychology, or other business-related course from top-tier universities/colleges
  • Previous sales and team management experience, ideally within the beauty industry
  • Exceptional leadership and coaching skills
  • Experience and understanding of effective sales techniques, customer service, and proven ability to drive results
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Capability on Microsoft Office (including Excel) and Outlook
