Job Description

A Learning and Development Supervisor, also known as a Training and Development Supervisor, is responsible for overseeing the training programs and professional development initiatives within an organization. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing learning strategies to enhance employee skills, performance, and overall effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Designing and delivering comprehensive training programs aligned with organizational goals.
  • Developing and managing learning management systems and e-learning platforms.
  • Collaborating with diverse stakeholders to identify training needs and develop effective solutions.
  • Overseeing project management of training initiatives from conception to implementation.

Qualifications:

  1. A degree in Psychology, Training and Development, Education, or a related field.
  2. Strong instructional design skills, including curriculum development and adult learning theory.
  3. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  4. Familiarity with learning management systems and e-learning platforms, with experience in administering and maintaining these systems.
  5. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, IT, and subject matter experts.
  6. Project management skills, with experience in overseeing projects from conception to delivery.
  7. Certification in training and development, such as the Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPL), with at least 5 years of experience in the field and 2 years of supervisory experience.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
