In this critical role, you will serve as a Commissioning Engineer for ABB Schweiz AG's Excitation Business Line. Your primary responsibility will be to lead commissioning activities for projects with low to medium complexity.
As a key member of our team, you will ensure the efficient and cost-effective completion of all commissioning activities in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards.
Your Key Responsibilities- Commissioning Activities Planning and Implementation: Contribute to the planning and implementation of commissioning activities to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
- Project Review Meetings and Inputs: Participate in internal project review meetings and provide valuable inputs on commissioning activities to ensure seamless project execution.
- Site Activity Coordination and Customer Acceptance: Coordinate site activities focused on finalizing customer acceptance certification and recommend new effective solutions to meet business and customer needs.
- Commissioning Assignments and Meetings: Provide relevant information pertaining to commissioning assignments and meetings with customers, offering feedback to the organization to apply lessons learned process.
- Safety Regulations Compliance: Utilize standard processes to ensure all commissioning activities comply with required safety regulations and contractual requirements.
- Risk and Opportunity Assessments: Conduct risk and opportunity assessments during the commissioning phase to ensure implementation of the commissioning plan, identifying and reporting potential risks related to contract/quality/program/cost, and recommending resolutions to the project.
- Risk Mitigation Plans: Initiate and monitor risk mitigation plans in one's area of responsibility and ensure stakeholders are updated on associated technical risks.
- Degree in an Engineering discipline.
- Approximately 5 years of experience in commissioning of excitation and electrical systems.
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge in excitation and other electrical systems such as LV and MV switchgears, transformers, and protection relays.
- Highly skilled in maintenance, testing, and commissioning as well as FAT/SAT of excitation and electrical systems.
- Preferable working experience in segments such as oil and gas, chemicals and refining, offshore, and power & water industries.
- Experience in commissioning of Unitrol & Synchrotact systems is an added advantage.
- Comfortable communicating in English.
- Willing to travel within the Philippines and overseas.
