Purchasing and Payables Specialist Job Summary

ATOS Information Technology Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Purchasing and Payables Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of purchasing and payables, including vendor correspondence, purchase order requisitions, and remittance processing.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in accounting software and systems is essential, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Below are the key responsibilities and qualifications for this role:

  • Manage all aspects of purchasing and payables, including vendor correspondence, purchase order requisitions, and remittance processing.
  • Process invoices, vouchers, expense reports, check requests, and other financial documents with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Investigate and resolve problems associated with processing of invoices and purchase orders.
  • Prepare batch check runs, wire transfers, and ACH transactions.
  • Reconcile various accounts by identifying errors in posting or omissions and applying appropriate accounting standards.
  • Process remittance information from checks, drafts, and wire transfers for invoices provided by vendors.
  • Communicate discrepancies to relevant parties and ensure accurate crediting of accounts.

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • 1-2 years of experience in purchasing and payables or general accounting.
  • Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
