Job Description

The Senior Network Engineer's role is to provide operational support for the global network environment. This includes providing proactive and reactive support for all network hardware, software, and communication links. The position reports to the Senior Manager of Engineering and Implementations.

Responsibilities include on-boarding of new clients, design and implementation of new offices, or integration of network technologies through coordination with Demand or Project Managers and use of network management systems for documentation and implementation requests. Additionally, responding to ticket requests and incident notifications, resolving issues within Service Level Agreements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting Project or Demand Managers in integrating a network setup.
  • Providing solutions to complex problems with well-planned documentation.
  • Completing preventative maintenance activities such as code updates & equipment updates.
  • Managing assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives.
  • Responding to inquiries from staff, administrators, service providers, site personnel and outside vendors to provide technical assistance and support.
  • Security & Audit compliance.
  • Operational-related Moves, Adds, Changes, and Deletes (MACD).
  • Adherence to Operational Standards.
  • Compliance with Engineering Design Standards and established operational processes.
  • Participating in the Development & Maintenance of operational documentation, including updating Engineering documentation changes due to operational changes, escalation procedures & vendor contracts.
  • Providing Root Cause Analysis for Network Events.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years extensive experience in supporting Cisco Networking Technologies. Strong technical, analytical, and interpersonal skills are required. Practical technical knowledge on CISCO Networking Technologies is essential.

  • Cisco Networking Technologies: Routing & Switching, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF)
  • Networking Technologies: DNS, DHCP, VPN, Network Security, IP Routing Protocols
  • Cisco Wireless
  • Meraki Wireless
  • Palo Alto Firewalls

ITIL Ver. 3.0 or Ver. 4.0 is preferred, along with ability to communicate in an understandable, polite and friendly manner to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced working environment are necessary.

Work Location / Work Schedule / Travel

This role is mostly work-from-home (RTO as needed) with a shifting schedule. Ability to travel up to 25% of the time is required.
