At Likas Yaman Service Corporation, we are seeking an experienced Water Quality Specialist to join our team.

Job Description

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning and executing environmental-related programs from the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) and specialist assessments developed for the Project. Your goal will be to ensure achievement of project outcomes by conducting regular monitoring of ground and surface water quality, collecting and recording data accurately and consistently, and analyzing data to assess water quality trends and identify potential issues.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and execute environmental-related programs from the ESIA and specialist assessments;
  • Conduct regular monitoring of ground and surface water quality using established protocols for sample collection, preservation, and analysis;
  • Collect and record water quality data accurately and consistently;
  • Analyze data to assess water quality trends and identify potential issues;
  • Ensure compliance with relevant water quality regulations and permits;

A minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental management or sustainability roles is required. A Bachelor's degree in environmental science, hydrology, water resources, or a related field is also mandatory.

Requirements

To be successful as a Water Quality Specialist, you should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and knowledge of IFC PS requirements. Previous experience or coursework in water quality monitoring or related disciplines is preferred. You should be familiar with water quality parameters, monitoring techniques, and regulations, as well as water sampling and analysis methods.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this role is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on your qualifications and experience. This figure takes into account the current market rate for similar positions in the Philippines and is subject to change based on various factors.
