Job Opportunity: Medical Content Writer

Develop engaging medical content for various audiences, including healthcare professionals, patients, and caretakers.

This role requires a strong science or healthcare background combined with creative writing skills to produce high-quality content for branded campaigns, patient education materials, and medical slide decks.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Transforming complex medical and scientific concepts into clear and concise copy.
  • Creating medical slide decks, websites, branded campaign assets, and patient education materials.
  • Leading the editorial process from first draft to final proof, ensuring accuracy and quality of all contents.
  • Collaborating with design, strategy, account managers, and project management teams.
  • Ensuring all content is on-brand and compliant.
  • Attending scientific meetings, advisory boards, and client meetings.
  • Contributing research and content to proposals and pitch presentations.
  • Staying up-to-date on current trends in medical education and pharma industry developments.

Requirements for Success:

  • A bachelor's degree or PhD in any science or medical field.
  • At least 2-5 years of medical writing experience, including creating medical or scientific content for clinical trials, doctors, healthcare, and the public.
  • Experience in pharma agency work is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Medicines Australia Code of Conduct (preferred but not required).
  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to ensure all content is on-brand and compliant.
  • Proven ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with adaptability and openness to learning.
