Job Description

We are seeking an experienced accounting and financial operations specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Australian accounting practices, particularly in payroll and operational roles.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing accounts communications and documentation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and reporting. They will also be expected to provide excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

A key aspect of this role is to ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported, and that any discrepancies or issues are promptly identified and resolved. The candidate must have a high level of analytical skill and attention to detail to perform these tasks.

The Financial Operations Specialist will play a critical role in supporting the finance team and ensuring that our clients receive high-quality service. We are looking for someone who is highly organized, efficient, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage accounts communications and documentation
  2. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
  3. Perform payroll duties, including timesheet-based payrolls
  4. Reconcile ledger transactions and bank statement records
  5. Prepare and maintain balance sheets and other financial reports
  6. Identify and resolve discrepancies or issues with financial transactions
  7. Provide exceptional customer service to clients

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

  • A strong background in Australian accounting practices, particularly in payroll and operational roles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • A high level of analytical skill and attention to detail
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Employment Hero Payroll and Xero
