Pollution Control Professional

As a key member of our team, the Pollution Control Professional will oversee and implement environmental compliance measures within our construction projects.

  • This involves ensuring that all activities adhere to relevant pollution control regulations and standards to minimize environmental impact.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pollution control and excellent communication skills to coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors.

  • We are seeking a motivated individual who can develop and implement effective pollution control plans and strategies in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Responsibilities:
  1. Pollution Control Planning: Develop and implement pollution control plans and strategies in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  2. Site Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of the construction site to identify potential sources of pollution and ensure compliance with environmental requirements.
  3. Environmental Monitoring: Monitor construction activities, including material handling, waste management, and erosion control measures, to prevent environmental contamination.
  4. Team Collaboration: Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to integrate pollution control measures into construction plans and activities.
  5. Training and Guidance: Provide training and guidance to site personnel on pollution prevention techniques, environmental regulations, and best practices.
  6. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of environmental monitoring data, inspection reports, and regulatory compliance documentation.
  7. Crisis Management: Respond promptly to environmental incidents, such as spills or violations, and implement corrective actions to mitigate environmental damage.
  8. Regulatory Liaison: Liaise with regulatory agencies, environmental consultants, and stakeholders to facilitate permit applications, inspections, and compliance reporting.
  9. Professional Development: Stay informed about new environmental regulations, industry trends, and technological advancements relevant to pollution control in the construction sector.
  10. Interdepartmental Collaboration: Collaborate with the Health and Safety team to promote a culture of environmental stewardship and sustainability across the organization.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Pollution Control Officer (PCO).
  • A construction background is an advantage but not required.
