Senior Digital Banking Test Engineer

The purpose of this role is to validate the functionality and usability of digital banking platforms, ensuring a seamless user experience. Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop comprehensive test cases based on requirements and design documents.
  • Conduct functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing on digital banking builds/releases.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and UX designers to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Prepare detailed and reproducible defect reports; verify bug fixes.
  • Maintain and execute manual test cases.
  • Contribute to building and executing basic automated test scripts, as needed.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies: daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Support UAT activities and documentation for regulatory/compliance purposes.
Key Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in QA testing, preferably in a digital banking or fintech environment.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Knowledge of functional and regression testing methodologies.
  • Experience with Jira or similar project management tools.
  • Understanding of API testing using Postman, and automation tools like BrowserStack.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive and eager to learn, especially digital banking trends.
  • Team player with a collaborative mindset.
