Language Development Coach

This role involves supporting and mentoring language trainers in their professional development to enhance teaching effectiveness and assessment skills. The primary responsibility will be to collaborate closely with language trainers, providing guidance, feedback, and resources to help them improve their instructional techniques, lesson planning skills, assessment skills, and overall language training skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Mentor and Support Language Trainers: Provide individualized coaching and support to language trainers, fostering their growth and development as educators. Conduct regular coaching sessions to provide constructive feedback and opportunities for practice to hone trainers' teaching and assessment skills.
  2. Facilitate Online Training Sessions: Facilitate discussions, answer questions, and encourage active participation from trainers and assessors. Provide timely feedback and guidance to participants, fostering a supportive and collaborative learning environment. Administer quizzes and other evaluation methods to gauge the participants' understanding and knowledge retention.
  3. Collaborate in the Development of Training Materials: Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and instructional designers to develop online training materials, including presentations, guides, and multimedia content, ensuring that they are effective, interactive, and visually appealing.
  4. Facilitate Professional Development Opportunities: Identify professional development needs of language trainers and assessors, and coordinate relevant training sessions, workshops, or webinars. Stay informed about current trends, research, and best practices in language teaching and share relevant information with trainers and assessors.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in linguistics, language teaching, education, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in language training or curriculum development, with a focus on quality assurance and improvement.
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design principles and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with language assessment tools and frameworks, such as CEFR.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to assess quality and identify areas for improvement.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide constructive feedback and recommendations.
  • Proficiency in using technology tools and software relevant to language training and assessment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and continuous improvement.
