Al Suroor United Group seeks an accomplished Fashion Designer to spearhead innovative designs and drive business growth.
Job Description
- Trend Research: Conduct market analysis to identify emerging fashion trends, fabrics, colors, and designs. Analyze consumer preferences and competitors to forecast upcoming styles.
- Design Development: Create original designs and develop technical drawings (by hand or using computer-aided design software). Select fabrics, trims, and materials for prototypes. Develop mood boards, color palettes, and concept presentations.
- Prototype Creation: Collaborate with pattern makers and sample developers to create prototypes. Oversee fittings and make adjustments to ensure the design aligns with the vision.
- Production Oversight: Work closely with production teams to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery. Approve fabric swatches, trims, and production samples. Communicate with suppliers and manufacturers for sourcing and production.
- Brand Representation: Present collections to buyers, retailers, or fashion show audiences. Maintain the brand's identity and adhere to its aesthetic principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Previous experience in design, pattern-making, or textile development is often necessary.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Suite, CLO 3D) and knowledge of garment construction techniques are essential.
- Creative Skills: Strong sense of color, texture, and style with an ability to create innovative designs.
- Business Acumen: Understanding of the fashion market, consumer behavior, and pricing strategies is crucial.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills for teamwork and pitching designs.
