Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise, plan, schedule, and provide technical guidance and design expertise in the planning, repair, modification, and maintenance of ships and other productive work.

• Provide engineering liaison with waterfront production efforts and participate in engineering studies as assigned.

• Offer technical guidance and assistance in the planning, design, repair, modification, and overhaul in the areas of ship's hull structure, outfitting, and preservation.

• Conduct inspections and evaluations of all hull and outfitting, inclining experiments, and stability calculations, as well as docking calculations.

• Analyze integrated ship performance, speed, maneuvering characteristics, and provide recommendations as required.

• Participate in inspections and sea trials of ships and conduct engineering studies in hull and outfitting areas, including analysis of existing operating problems.
