Job Description:

As a Network Security Specialist, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our customer's network from unauthorized access and cyber threats.

Responsibilities include administering firewall platforms to ensure proper functioning, software updates, and patch management. Additionally, configuring, managing, and maintaining firewall devices and related security infrastructure is essential to safeguard the network.

  • Develop and enforce security policies, access controls, and firewall rules to protect against data breaches and cyber threats.
  • Configure, manage, and upgrade FW, IDS, IVS, IPS, NAC, Encryption, and other security products/appliances.
  • Utilize strong TCP/IP networking skills to perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

A strong understanding of network security concepts, including threat detection, intrusion detection, and vulnerability management is required.

Experience with Linux, Windows, and Network Operating Systems is also essential. In-depth knowledge and experience of firewall technologies, including Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet, and other leading firewall platforms are required.

Working knowledge of VPN technologies, network protocols, and network architecture is necessary. Knowledge of configuring, upgrading, and maintaining all aspects of Palo Alto Panorama network management software is preferred.

Recent, documented professional expertise with several security products, such as Cisco, Palo Alto, IPTables, Snort, Meraki, Fortinet, Checkpoint, or other technologies is highly desirable.

Strong, recent professional experience in Information Security and Networking is required.

Desirable Skills:
  • Palo Alto PCNSE and/or Cisco CCNA or CCNP Security certification is highly desirable.
  • A strong passion for information security and data security is preferred.
  • Additional language skills, including Spanish, Portuguese, Mandarin, or Urdu are desired.
Education:
  • A bachelor's degree in a security discipline or a related field is preferred. However, a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required for employment.
