Financial Clerk Role

A skilled financial clerk is required to accurately record and classify general ledger transactions for a US-based organization. The ideal candidate will ensure that all transactions are correctly documented, tagged by department, and compliant with internal policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurate Ledger Entry: Record general ledger transactions, including accruals, month-end adjustments, intercompany entries, and balance sheet entries.
  • Closing Process: Lead the month-end closing process, ensuring timely compliance with accounting standards.
  • Account Analysis: Prepare and reconcile balance sheet and P&L accounts, investigate variances, and provide detailed schedules and insights for management and audit support.
  • Compliance & Controls: Ensure compliance with US GAAP, internal accounting policies, and audit requirements.
  • Collaboration & Reporting: Work closely with cross-functional teams to align entries with budget expectations and provide ad-hoc reporting as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA preferred
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience with at least 2 years working with a US-based accounting firm as a bookkeeper
  • Background with a US-based company is advantageous
  • Strong proficiency in NetSuite and QuickBooks Online
  • Excellent analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
