Job Title: Database Administrator

At ABSI, we are seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our database systems, ensuring high levels of performance, availability, and security.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and configure database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance.
  • Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
  • Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.
  • Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
  • Provide support to application teams, including database connectivity, index creation, and data migration.
  • Provide performance monitoring during all phases of the application's development lifecycle.
  • Provide database and SQL tuning expertise through recommendations to application developers, vendors, and other core application teams.
  • Provide database configuration for optimal performance.
Requirements:
  • 1-3+ years of hands-on experience as an Azure SQL DBA.
  • Good to have PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and other cloud databases skillset but not required.
  • Hands-on experience in managing Azure resources via Azure Portal, CLI, and etc.
  • Support the standing standards, policies, and procedures of the customer team.
  • Experience in access management in Azure SQL.
  • Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring, troubleshooting tools (SQL Trace, SQL Profile, and Performance Monitoring), Indexing, and Partitioning.
What We Offer:
  • A competitive salary of Php150,000.00 - Php170,000.00 per month.
  • A fixed-term contract of 6 months.
  • A hybrid work arrangement.
