Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our virtualized and automated infrastructure.

Your primary focus will be on virtual machine (VM) migrations, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency. You will work closely with our development teams to deliver high-quality services and support our business growth.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement virtualized infrastructure solutions using hypervisors such as Proxmox VE and VMware vSphere/ESXi.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts to support migration, monitoring, and routine operations.
  • Implement and manage infrastructure automation using Puppet and Ansible for system configuration, deployment, and scaling.
  • Plan and execute VM migrations across multiple environments with minimal downtime.
  • Administer and maintain Linux-based systems supporting production workloads.
  • Manage and operate hypervisor platforms for provisioning, migration, and lifecycle management.
  • Create and review Migration Plans (MOPs) and Change Management Requests (CMRs) to ensure smooth execution.
  • Perform scheduled out-of-hours maintenance in alignment with change management processes.
  • Support the decommissioning of legacy systems, including service removal, data sanitization, and e-waste compliance.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong hands-on experience with Linux administration (Ubuntu, Debian, RHEL, or similar).
  • Proven expertise with hypervisors: Proxmox VE and VMware vSphere/ESXi.
  • Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Perl; Python a plus).
  • Practical experience with infrastructure automation (Puppet, Ansible).
  • Track record of successful VM migrations in enterprise environments.
  • Knowledge of change management practices (MOPs, CMRs).
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills in virtualized and Linux environments.
