This is a unique opportunity for an experienced medical scribe to work remotely as a vital member of our healthcare team. The successful candidate will have the skills and knowledge to accurately document patient encounters directly into electronic health records (EHRs) during or immediately after visits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately capture relevant history, objective findings, assessments, treatment plans, and outcomes in clear, structured notes using clinic templates and standards.
  • Prepare and edit patient notes, visit summaries, progress reports, and letters to referring physicians ensuring consistency of records across encounters.
  • Assist with documentation needed for medical necessity, insurance authorization, and claims support.
  • Maintain accuracy checks for patient identifiers, visit details, and plan of care before submission.
  • Communicate clearly with U.S.-based providers and admin teams during working hours, flagging urgent issues and responding promptly to requests.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a medical scribe, medical virtual assistant, or healthcare documentation specialist.
  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Typing speed of at least 45 WPM with high accuracy.
  • Working knowledge of basic medical terminology (healthcare/clinical context).
  • Proficiency with EHR documentation and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), with strict adherence to HIPAA.
  • Ability to work independently in a focused, distraction-free environment.
