Job Overview
The Head of the Finance and Accounting Department for a real estate start-up would oversee all financial strategic processes and transactions that ensure organizational directions to sustain its objectives and vision. The Department head is also entrusted with overseeing all accounting procedures that maintain their quality and accuracy meeting the expectations of the organization.

Main Responsibilities
• Provides financial perspective on important risks and opportunities facing the company, creating relevant scenarios based on planned cash flows and revenue targets.
• Develops funding and resource allocation to prepare for projected financial targets in the short/medium/long term (income, expenses, major operational strategies, etc).
• Proves high-level/strategic leadership and direction in financial growth strategies for the company.
• Prepares financial forecasts by developing financial status, analyzing variances, reporting results, and recommending adjustments based on financial outlook.
• Prepares and presents a complete set of financial statements to directors.
• Provides recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities.
• Updates and keeps directors informed on the financial conditions of the company as these relate to critical factors affecting its business and growth strategies.
• Provides adequate financial controls to strengthen risk management in the accuracy and reliability of financial reports.

Operations
• Leads and reviews the filing of BIR Forms (VAT, ITR, EWT, DST, and others).
• Ensures timely release of commissions and disbursement checks.
• Monitors 100% collection of equity payments from customers.
• Reviews payroll and compensation and government contributions.
• Ensures compliance with SEC, BIR, and LGU.
