Commercial Insurance Specialist

This role requires a professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to serve as a key team member in the Commercial Lines Department. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in Commercial Lines Insurance and a strong understanding of Property & Casualty insurance policies, coverages, and products.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a key team member in the Commercial Lines Department, including educating current clients and attracting new ones.
- Provide proposals for agency producers and quote policies with top-rated carriers in the industry.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products and markets, and focus on client retention and sales growth by cross-selling and expanding existing accounts.
- Service existing clients in person, by email, or via telephone by preparing renewals, remarketing accounts, processing claims, and making policy changes.
- Quote and issue new policies, and maintain accurate records of COI, EOP, and Homeowners Insurance documentation.
Requirements:
- 5-7 years of experience in Commercial Lines Insurance.
- Strong understanding of Property & Casualty insurance policies, coverages, and products.
- Familiarity with the operations of an Independent Insurance Agency.
- Knowledge of quoting policies with major carriers.
- Excellent spoken and written English skills, with ability to professionally manage and respond to phone calls and emails.
- Ability to handle complex insurance issues and maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions.
- Proactive approach to learning and adapting to new tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with Western clients or teams.
- Familiarity with agency management systems and quoting platforms like Ez Lynx for remarketing.
