About the Role:
The Growth Manager will report directly to the CEO and will be pivotal in translating market insights into actionable growth tactics. This role involves managing cross-functional projects, ensuring we maximize market opportunities, innovate effectively, and meet ambitious sales targets.
Main Responsibilities:
- Market Analysis: Conduct ongoing research into market trends, competitive landscapes, and consumer behavior to identify new growth opportunities.
- Channel Development: Strategize and execute initiatives for e-commerce, retail, and trade channels.
- Product Positioning: Collaborate with Product Management and Marketing to refine messaging, packaging, and product line strategies for better market fit.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Marketing Alignment: Work closely with the Brand, Performance Marketing, E-commerce, and Trade Marketing teams to develop integrated campaigns that drive acquisition and retention.
- New Product Development: Partner with the Product Manager and R&D to ensure that new product launches are set up for success with data-driven insights and clear go-to-market strategies.
- Sales Coordination: Liaise with sales teams to ensure consistent messaging and support for key retailers and distribution partners.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
- KPIs & Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators such as Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), Lifetime Value (LTV), conversion rates, and revenue growth.
- Business Intelligence: Work with the finance/analytics teams to generate dashboards that measure campaign performance, product sales, and overall ROI.
- Continuous Improvement: Use a test-and-learn approach to refine strategies, pivoting quickly based on data insights.
Growth Experiments & Innovation:
- A/B Testing: Implement and manage growth experiments in digital marketing, pricing, packaging, and more to test hypotheses and quickly scale successful initiatives.
- Emerging Channels: Explore and propose new opportunities (e.g., subscription services, partnerships, international expansion) that align with the overall business strategy.
- Feedback Loop: Gather customer and stakeholder feedback to improve product-market fit and market penetration.
Leadership & Team Development:
- Mentorship: Provide guidance to junior team members or cross-functional partners on growth best practices, data interpretation, and project management.
- Stakeholder Communication: Present findings, recommendations, and progress updates to executive leadership and relevant teams to secure buy-in and resources.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field. MBA or other advanced degrees are a plus.
- Professional Background: 5+ years of experience in a growth or business development role, preferably in the consumer goods sector. Exposure to or experience in the pet industry is highly desirable but not mandatory.
- Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, BI dashboards, or similar), and a proven ability to interpret data to drive strategic decisions.
- Marketing Acumen: Familiarity with digital marketing channels (SEO, PPC, social, email), e-commerce platforms, and knowledge of brand-building fundamentals.
- Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills; strong stakeholder management experience.
