The successful candidate will have a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification, a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and at least 5 years of experience in accounting and finance, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

The Accounting Lead will play a critical role in ensuring financial integrity, operational efficiency, and strategic decision support. This includes managing financial accounting, reporting, and compliance, preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, and ensuring accurate general ledger management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage financial accounting, reporting, and compliance to ensure accuracy and efficiency in our financial operations.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) in compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and local accounting standards.
  • Ensure accurate general ledger management, journal entries, and reconciliations for accounts such as bank, inventory, and receivables.
  • Lead month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and reliable financial reporting.
  • Ensure full compliance with BIR regulations, tax laws, and corporate reporting requirements.
  • Handle BIR compliance, tax filings, and audit coordination, ensuring timely and accurate tax submissions (VAT, WT, CIT, etc.).
  • Manage BIR audits, liaise with government agencies, and ensure all requirements are met efficiently.
  • Support and oversee audit compliance, working with external auditors and internal teams to maintain financial integrity.
  • Develop and enforce strong internal controls to safeguard assets, prevent fraud, and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely invoicing, collections, and vendor payments.
  • Oversee payroll processing and financial workflows, ensuring compliance with EOR regulations and international employment standards.
  • Assist the Head of Finance in budget planning, financial forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Drive process automation and system improvements for efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.
  • Lead the adoption and optimization of accounting software and ERP systems (Xero preferred, but experience with any ERP is welcome).
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and training to the accounting team, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
  • Work closely with the Head of Finance to develop financial strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Collaborate with HR, Operations, and Compliance teams to ensure seamless financial integration.
  • Act as the subject matter expert (SME) in accounting, ensuring best practices are implemented across all financial processes.
  • Stay updated on local and international tax laws, financial regulations, and industry best practices.

Requirements:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is mandatory.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting and finance, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong experience in BIR compliance, tax filings, and handling BIR audits.
  • Hands-on experience in audit compliance, internal controls, and regulatory reporting.
  • Expertise in GAAP, IFRS, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in Xero is preferred, but experience with any ERP system is welcome.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Highly proactive, reliable, and collaborative with excellent communication skills.
