As a QA Engineer in our Enterprise Data department, you will create and manage automated tests to ensure data quality in the Enterprise Data Warehouse.

  • You will work with the onshore Enterprise Data team to decide on required tests for the process, automate them using stored procedures, custom dbt tests, and schedule these as part of the ETL process.
  • You will use dbt to build tests ensuring the ETL process works as intended.
  • You will automate common manual testing done by the QA through creating macros in dbt.
  • You will collaborate with Enterprise Data Engineers to investigate root causes of issues and suggest resolutions.

Required Skills:

Data Engineering Experience: You have experience working with relational databases and investigating root cause of issues.

SQL and Data Transformation Skills: Your SQL and data transformation skills are a key skill of yours.

Database Management Systems and Scripting: You have an understanding of database management systems and scripting.

Desired Skills:

ETL/ELT Process Fundamentals: You have an understanding of ETL/ELT process fundamentals.

dbt, Snowflake, Airflow Experience: Nice to have experience in dbt, snowflake, airflow.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Equivalent: A BS in Computer Science, Information Technology degree, or equivalent is required.
