Job Opportunity

A Freelance Peer Reviewer is responsible for assessing the quality and validity of research manuscripts in structural biology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate Novelty: Assess whether a manuscript adds new knowledge or insights to the field of study.
  • Assess Study Design and Methodology: Evaluate whether the study design and methods are appropriate, comprehensive, and clearly described.
  • Conduct Literature Review: Check whether the manuscript thoroughly incorporates and cites relevant research in the field.
  • Analyse Results and Conclusions: Evaluate whether the results are presented clearly and appropriately.
  • Provide Constructive Feedback: Provide feedback suggesting improvements or highlighting any flaws, omissions, or ethical concerns.

The ideal candidate will have a Doctorate (PhD/MD) or equivalent advanced degree in structural biology, with at least two publications in the last two years. They should have excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, strong written communication skills, and the ability to provide clear, concise, and constructive feedback.

As a peer reviewer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the scientific landscape by ensuring the accuracy and integrity of published research. This opportunity requires a deep understanding of structural biology and the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
