Job Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of the Configuration Engineer include:

  1. Component Tracking: Monitor component tracking and interchangeability within the company's computer system, referencing approved manuals and coordinating with Technical Services.
  2. Technical Assistance: Provide technical support to other EFM group members and Aircraft Records teams.
  3. Industry Standards: Remain updated on industry standards for aircraft component configuration.
  4. AD/SB Review: Monitor and review AD/SB (Airworthiness Directives/Service Bulletins) intended for implementation by Technical Services, ensuring proper compliance and entry into the company's computer system, and reporting embodiment to OEMs as necessary.
  5. Aircraft Configuration: Define, build, and maintain aircraft and component trees within the company's computer system for new arrivals, propellers, and landing gears.
