Custom Furniture Drafter Role

RemoteVA is seeking an experienced Custom Furniture Drafter to develop precise and accurate custom furniture shop drawings, conduct detailed takeoffs, and collaborate closely with designers, architects, and project managers.

  • Create detailed custom furniture and millwork shop drawings based on architectural and interior design specifications
  • Generate accurate takeoffs and material lists for efficient project estimation
  • Develop high-quality 3D renderings to visualize designs
  • Collaborate with designers, architects, and project managers to ensure compliance with project requirements
  • Ensure drawings are fabrication-ready with correct dimensions, joinery details, and material specifications
  • Revise and update drawings based on feedback and design changes
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Proven experience in millwork drafting, furniture detailing, or interior architectural drafting.
  • Proficiency in Revit, CAD, and Mozaik (or similar software).
  • Strong understanding of joinery, materials, and furniture construction methods.
  • Experience in rendering software for design visualization.
  • Ability to interpret architectural drawings and translate them into detailed shop drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce highly accurate technical drawings.
