Job Title: Senior Observability Engineer

We are seeking a skilled DevOps professional to join our team and design/build/deploy an Observability solution that aligns with our IT strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work across application teams to integrate the Observability solution into delivery pipelines and application codebase
  • Communicate with governance streams to ensure adherence to process, quality, and architectural design
  • Deliver against Functional and Non-functional requirements
  • Take Ownership/Accountability for development of key features and drive to completion
  • Communicate effectively on progress and raise impediments early to minimize impact on delivery
  • Participate in incident management to rectify Production defects based on criticality and severity
  • Guide and support team in implementation and adherence to Change Control principles

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Understanding of Observability pillars and knowledge of tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, OpenSearch
  • Hands-on experience in deploying and managing AWS resources
  • Demonstrate current experience of hands-on Full-Stack Software Engineering using Java or Microsoft c#, Typescript, JavaScript, and scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell
  • Experience of Application Lifecycle Management Tools and technologies such as Source Code Management; git, DevOps platforms; Gitlab, TeamCity, Sonatype Nexus
