Technical Support Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to provide technical support for ongoing engineering projects. As an Engineering Assistant, you will work closely with the founder/engineer to prepare drawings, diagrams, and organized documentation that ensure smooth project execution.

This is a part-time role requiring 20 hours of work per week in North Carolina Timezone (EST).

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and edit 2D drawings using AutoCAD software.
  • Prepare diagrams and layouts in Microsoft Visio or similar tools.
  • Assist with developing cutsheets, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
  • Organize and maintain engineering documentation and project files.
  • Conduct light technical research, such as identifying alternative components or suppliers.
  • Support the engineering team with other documentation or technical tasks as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and basic 2D drawing skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Visio or other diagramming software.
  • Familiarity with wiring harness components (connectors, terminals, wire, tools) is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Prior experience in electrical or mechanical engineering support is preferred but not required.
  • Proactive, organized, and eager to learn in a fast-paced engineering environment.
