Establish a successful career in media and entertainment as a skilled Subtitle Editor.

We are seeking an organized and professional Subtitle Editor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be technically versed with subtitling software, fluent in English, and passionate about film and series.

  • The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, enabling them to collaborate, coordinate and contribute on different types of assignments relating to subtitling.
  • Responsibilities include:
  • Content Creation: Creating, converting and exporting different subtitle formats and preparing deliverable assets.
  • Client Protocol: Fully understanding client-specific protocols and adhering to all special instructions.
  • Quality Control: Performing full technical QC on both English and non-English subtitle files.
  • Communication: Preparing and sending communications to internal departments and 3rd party vendors regarding project specs, revisions, and approvals.
  • Backup Management: Creating backup files for client archival purposes.
  • Collaboration: Interacting with colleagues on a project per project basis.
  • Troubleshooting: Assisting resources to solve problems and answer queries in a constructive and timely fashion.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Three years of professional subtitling experience.
  • Solid technical understanding of subtitling tools required.
  • Knowledge of different subtitles/closed captioning formats such as SCC, SRT, STL, PAC, TTML (.dfxp, .xml, .ttml).
  • Fluency in English and bilingual preferred.
  • Previous subtitle localization experience and ability to work flexible hours if necessary.
