Job Overview

The Remote System Administrator will be responsible for providing proactive support within a 24x7 production environment focused on Ubuntu Linux Servers. They will perform daily maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Linux systems and services, triage and resolve issues, and escalate when necessary.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the smooth operation of remote system administration in a 24x7 production environment
  • Monitor and troubleshoot Linux systems and services to identify and resolve potential issues
  • Triage and resolve technical issues promptly and effectively
  • Escalate complex issues to senior team members or management as required
Key Requirements:
  • A minimum of one year of experience in production Linux system administration
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills with the ability to articulate technical information to non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays in a 24x7 production environment

The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of Bash scripting and be proficient in GoLang and Perl. Experience managing Proxmox or similar Linux KVM hypervisors is highly desirable.
