Senior Legal Executive Role

The Senior Lead Legal Counsel is a senior-level position responsible for providing strategic legal counsel and support to countries/geographies of responsibility. This role requires a high level of expertise in providing legal advice on complex matters associated with Citi's business activities and legal entities.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive legal guidance to Country Business Management on key legal, control function, and regulatory matters.
  • Support business initiatives by offering expert legal interpretations of relevant laws, rules, regulations, and industry practices.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide effective legal support to Citi's local businesses across multiple geographies.
Essential Requirements:
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the legal field, preferably in financial services, with a strong background in litigation and employment law.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, organizational, and relationship management skills are essential for this role.
  • A deep understanding of international, multi-jurisdictional laws and practices, as well as the ability to stay up-to-date with regulatory and legal developments that impact the business.
