About the Role

This is a leadership position that blends technical and operational risk oversight. You will lead the design and execution of our risk strategy, ensuring we can scale financing for distributed renewable energy projects with confidence and discipline.

  • Create tools for underwriting and monitoring, and establish clear governance as we deploy capital into the SME and midscale solar sector.

The ideal candidate will have experience in evaluating SME credit, EPC/developer capabilities, and contract structuring.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Evaluate and mitigate risks associated with rooftop solar or distributed energy projects.
  2. Develop and implement standardized tools and models for assessing risk at origination and throughout the project lifecycle.
  3. Determine the creditworthiness of solar developers and SME offtakers based on established criteria.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between risk appetite and growth strategies.
  5. Maintain knowledge of emerging industry trends, regulatory changes, and market feedback.
Requirements

We are seeking an experienced professional with:

  • A strong understanding of technical and commercial risks in renewable energy financing.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in risk, credit, or investment roles.
  • Ability to communicate complex risk concepts to stakeholders.
  • A willingness to adapt to changing market conditions and regulatory requirements.
